Veeam backup jobs best practices:-
So after adding the Host 1st we need to create the backup job in Veeam Backup and Replication for taking backup of any virtual Machine so please find the following step and configuration to creating a Virtual Machine Backup job in Veeam Backup and Replication.
Step 1. Open the Veeam Backup and Replication Software console and click on Virtual Infrastructure Select the host then click on Backup Job and select the Virtual Machine option wait for next screen.

Step 2. Now you can see new Backup job wizard is opened so just type the job name and click on next button.

Step 3.Here you need to add Virtual Machine which you want to take backup so just click on add button and wait for next screen.
Step 4.Here add Objects wizard is opened so expend the ESXi Host and just select the Virtual Machine which you want to take backup and click on add button.
Step 5. Now you can see Virtual Machine is added successfully so just click on next button and wait for next screen.
Step 6. Now Guest Processing screen is showing so here you can select enable application-aware processing if you are using application server and Database server otherwise leave it default and click on next button.
Step 7.Here you need to select backup repository so just select backup repository and click on next button.
Step 8.Here schedule wizard is open so just defined the schedule and Automatic retry option and click on apply.
Step 9. Here you can see backup job summary so just verify the summary and select Run the job when i click finish option and click on finish option.
Step 10.Here you can see Backup job is started now so just wait for sometime to complete the job.
Step 11.Now you can see backup is completed and here you can see all the details of job like Backup speed,Backup size and Backup time.
